Thank You Beloved Father

"Always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins."1

In today's passage, Paul tells us to always give thanks to the Father, for he has enabled us to share in the inheritance of his people in the kingdom of light. He delivered us from the dominion of darkness! And not only that, but he transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we are free and forgiven.

Paul wanted to make sure the Colossians knew the truth about their inheritance, and so should we. Even though we didn't deserve his inheritance, he enabled us to share it with Him. This is the heart of our gratitude.

Not only did God rescue us from the dominion of darkness, picking us up and turning us around, but He also went the extra mile. God put our feet on the Solid Rock of salvation through Him, a foundation that will never shake or move. Even when the world seems so frustrating and nothing goes right for you, take a moment to remember the greatest gift you have ever received: Salvation!

Suggested Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, today I want to thank you for the greatest gift you have given us: Your son Jesus. Thank you that even though we did not deserve it, you decided to give us a Savior, your own Son. Your love is so great and unconditional that my limited mind cannot comprehend it. But even if I don't understand it, I accept it with a grateful heart. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
