Let the Nations Praise
Praise the Lord, all
you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth. For his unfailing love
for us is powerful; the Lord’s
faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord!1
This past week, a local Bible
College held their annual Missions Conference; complete with keynote speakers
and excellent student-led worship. All of the students were required to attend,
and they received class credit for doing so. By week's end, said students had
received much more than their earned credits, they had experienced a revival
like the school had not seen in years! The Missions Conference began with a
Parade of Nations, where the flag of every nation represented in the school was
waved around the auditorium; approximately 62 flags were on parade. Each night,
worship was extended because the students just wanted to keep on worshiping. On
the last night, worship was extended for 3 hours followed by a spontaneous
baptism service at midnight! There is no doubt that these students felt the
powerful, unfailing love of our Lord God in these few days.
62 nations lifting their voices in
praise all in one place is a rare and awesome sight. How much more so when
those nations can lift their hands from every corner of the earth! That was
David's call in Psalm 117—ALL you people
of the earth, PRAISE THE LORD! Is He not worthy? The Lord’s faithfulness is
never-ending; we can see that in every story represented in our Holy Bible. A
spark ignited can start a fire. Isn't it time this whole world saw revival in
the land? People of every nation let’s ignite that spark! Let's praise the Lord
Almighty today.
Lord, You are good
And your mercy endureth forever…
People from every nation and tongue
From generation to generation
We worship you
Hallelujah, Hallelujah…
We worship you for who you are.2
Suggested Prayer: Loving Father, your name is to be praised, of
that I have no doubt! I am thankful for your mercy and your grace toward me.
Allow me to be a spark that spreads your goodness throughout the nations! In
Jesus’ name, Amen.
