Pray With Full Confidence
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.1
Prayer is the most powerful tool a Christian possesses. However, we often feel insecure or hesitant to pray.
But we must be confident in praying, first of all because we belong to the family of God. When we put our trust in Christ, God becomes our Heavenly Father. Because of this, we can be sure that He will hear our prayers.
Another reason to be sure is to pray according to the will of God. This idea often seems puzzling, so let us take a closer look at it. Certain things are never within the plan God has for us, such as lying, cheating, or acting out of pride, anger, or jealousy.
Steps to know the will of God:
Our spirit must be submitted to Him (James 4:7-8)
We must study the Bible, where the will of God is revealed in His commandments and principles.
We must depend on the Holy Spirit and pray according to the His plans (Romans 8:26).
Align your prayers with the will of God and remember that He is happy to answer the prayers of his children.
Suggested Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, through Your Word You confirm to me that I can pray with confidence, knowing that You hear my every request. Thank You, Lord, that I am important to You and You want to have a conversation with me. Thank You, beloved Father, that I have Your Word as my guide to know how to pray and live life according to Your will. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
