document.writeln("his friend\'€ (Ex. 33:11). Jesus called his disciples \'€œfriends\'€ in John 15 and as");
document.writeln("believers, as we come to know God more intimately we, too, become His friends!");
document.writeln("We made the decision to follow Jesus because we desired to have a personal");
document.writeln("relationship with God. We desired to know Him, not just <i>of</i> Him, and to");
document.writeln("be known <i>by</i> Him as well. Knowing someone requires spending time with");
document.writeln("them and taking interest in their likes and dislikes\'€¦ what makes them happy and");
document.writeln("what makes them sad. Once we get to know that person, we find that it brings us");
document.writeln("joy to see them smile. Getting to know God is no different! While reading the Bible");
document.writeln("we learn that following Him brings Him joy and we understand that our sin");
document.writeln("saddens Him and breaks His heart. As we get to know Him more closely our desire");
document.writeln("to see Him smile brings us to spend more time in His presence and thus begins a");
document.writeln("beautiful friendship with the Almighty God of the universe! Seek to know God \'€&#8221;");
