Special Note and Needed Prayer for Nov. 6 U.S.A. Election
Dear Daily Encounter Subscriber:
This is a special note and prayer request regarding the U.S.A. election on Tuesday of next week, November 6. Many feel that this will be the most critical U.S. federal election in many years. For all Daily Encounter worldwide subscribers, will you please pray for God's guidance in this election, keeping in mind that the direction the U.S. will head in the next four years, will have a profound effect on much of the rest of the world.
Please pray for the following:
That every U.S. Christian will vote (see *NOTE below)
That each person will vote for leaders of character as well as leadership ability
That voters will look at the past record of those for whom they are voting—and not just on what they say they will do
That each voter will know where each of the presidential candidates (and all senate and congress candidates) stand on critical Voter Value issues. The issues listed below are from the 2012 Voter Values website. Click HERE for the Values chart below.
Special Call for Churches to Pray:
A Daily Encounter subscriber shared how their church has scheduled a prayer service for 7pm on Monday, Nov. 5th.
It will be for members to come and pray for the election outcome. At 8pm, the church will sing "How Great Thou Art." If we could get other churches to do the same, a wave of praise could pass over our nation since there are four time zones. And please consider holding a Communion Service of Thanksgiving on Wednesday night, the 7th, regardless of what the results are?
Will you please request that your church do likewise?
Special Word from Dr. Billy Graham re the November 6 Election:
"The legacy we leave behind for our children, grandchildren, and this great nation is crucial. As I approach my 94th birthday, I realize this could be my last [presidential election]. I believe it is vitally important that we cast our ballots for candidates who base their decisions on biblical principles and support the nation of Israel. I urge you to vote for those who protect the sanctity of life and support the biblical definition of marriage between a man and a woman. Vote for biblical values this November 6th, and pray with me that America will remain one nation under God.” – Billy Graham

*NOTE: Mathew Staver, Chairman of
Liberty Counsel Action, reported the following: "It’s estimated that 17 million evangelical Christian voters failed to show up at the polls in the 2008 elections that thrust liberal progressives (some would say socialists) into unbridled power, controlling both Congress and the White House."
